Expert Sizing Tips
To ensure your chosen artwork looks perfect in your space, please consider these guidelines:
- Above Furniture: If hanging art above a sofa, bed, or console, the artwork’s width should be approximately 2/3 to 3/4 of the furniture’s width. For example, for a 90-inch sofa, the ideal art width is between 60 inches (152.4 cm) and 67.5 inches (171.45 cm). Our 40 in×60 in pieces are perfect for this rule.
- Blank Wall: On a completely empty wall, a piece of art should generally occupy at least 60% of the blank horizontal wall space to feel balanced and avoid looking too small.
- Visualization: Before ordering, use masking tape or painter’s tape to mark the exact dimensions of the artwork on your wall. This simple step gives you the best visualization of the piece’s true scale in your home.
